A week before their departure to the 2009 Warsaw Cup in the Polish capital, Natalie Friesling broke her elbow in a freak accident during a training session

“It would have been their final competition as juniors and we were all devastated,” Natalia von Willigh, their coach said.

She said that the elbow was broken on both sides.

We took Natalie to the best orthopedic surgeons and her arm was placed in plaster.

“The doctors told me that it will take a long time to heel, but I was back in the gym the following week,” Natalie says.

Club owner Wessel Oosthuizen says that Natalie is still young and that the club is not gping to rush her into full training until the doctors gave the green light for it.
