Two members of the South Africans acro gymnastics team who are in Wroclaw, Poland, for the acro gymnastics world championships, became  victims of crime two days after the team’s arrival.

An amount of R8 000 as stolen from gymnast JP Engelbrecht ‘s hotel  room, but a short upper cut from coach Chris Botha left a would be mugger cold on a toilet floor in Poland’s second biggest city.

“I asked someone in a shopping centre where the toilet as and he “kindly” offered to show me the way.

“However, as we reached the toilet at the end of a long passage, the good Samaritan, or shall a say good Pole, suddenly hit me in the face and grabbed my money bag,” Botha said.

Botha said it must have been his Boksburg instinct, but he hit the mugger with a short right to the chin and he dropped to the floor.

“As I was not sure whether there were some of his friends around, I broke all Usian Bolt’s sprint records to get out of here,” Botha said.
